Here are a few pics from the ongoing Turbo Diesel/ Veggie conversion project ...


Overall engine compartment, Clockwise from left:
- 2 lb. coffee can houses K&N cone-style air filter; aluminum intake hose runs up D-pillar
- Custom circuit in plastic container to run gasser tach and oil pressure warning circuit from "W" term. alternator
- Veggie fuel accumulator made from 1" copper pipe
- Supply & return solenoid valves
- Heated veggie filter (Racor water sep. unit) - Oil cooler w/ intake shrouds

- Custom tank (~11 gals) installed between frame rails on driver's side

- Close-up of rear connections and mounting; brackets made from whatever steel was laying around

- Veggie tank fill in passenger's, rear wheel well

- Close-up of fill and vent

- Front of tank showing loop-back for heater; future location for domestic hot water exchanger - Center hole was going to be for 1/4-tank float switch but float (magnetic) broke off and is lost inside tank

- Mounting bracket, heater in, heater out, veggie out, fill, vent
- Veggie return is tee'd into fill - Not shown: 1/2" drain plug in front, right, underside corner and shut-off valve in heater return line
